ASEAN Business Advisory Council
Launched in April 2003, the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) was set up with the mandate to provide private sector feedback and guidance to boost ASEAN’s efforts towards economic integration.
Aside from providing private sector feedback on the implementation of ASEAN economic cooperation, the Council also identifies priority areas for consideration of the ASEAN Leaders.
Accordingly, ASEAN-BAC’s activities are primarily focused on reviewing and identifying issues to facilitate and promote economic cooperation and integration.
Business at OECD was proud to sign an MoU with ASEAN-BAC in 2023 at the OECD's Southeast Asia Ministerial Forum.

The membership of BusinessAfrica is drawn from African employers’ organisations spread out from over 45 African countries from all the regions of the continent.
Business at OECD was proud to sign an MoU with BusinessAFRICA in 2024.
Business 7
The Group of Seven (G7) is an alliance of seven of the world’s leading economies — Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, plus the European Union — committed to addressing global economic and geopolitical challenges.
The Business 7 (B7) represents the business and industry associations of these nations, advocating for economic policies that foster global stability and growth.
The B7 is the most significant and recognised of the G7 Engagement Groups, representing the interests of the business community across G7 nations. It plays a critical role in developing actionable policy proposals for G7 leaders, ensuring business perspectives drive economic policymaking.
This year, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce will lead the B7 presidency, aligning with Canada’s G7 presidency, to shape discussions on economic security, resilience and innovation.
Business at OECD is delighted to be a Strategic Partner to the B7 presidency for 2024.
Business 20
The G20, or Group of Twenty, is an international forum that brings together the world’s major economies to address global economic challenges. Comprising 19 countries and the European Union, the G20 serves as a platform for dialogue and cooperation on issues such as sustainable development, financial stability, climate change, and global health, fostering collaboration to drive inclusive and sustainable growth.
The Business 20 (B20) serves as the official G20 dialogue forum with the global business community. Established in 2010, the B20 is one of the most influential G20 Engagement Groups, bringing together business leaders from G20 member countries and beyond. Each year, the B20 provides a platform for companies and business organisations to articulate their perspectives on pressing global economic and trade issues, ensuring that the voice of the business community is heard at the highest levels of international economic governance.
This year, Business Unity South Africa (BUSA) will lead the B20 presidency, aligning with South Africa's G20 presidency.
Business at OECD is delighted to return as Network Partner to the B20 presidency for 2025.
GAN Global
In 2014, GAN Global was established in response to the high youth unemployment levels that resulted from the 2009 economic crash. As economies around the world gradually recovered, youth unemployment remained persistently high. During the 2012 G20 and B20 meetings, governments and business leaders alike called for measures to address the problem. As part of their response, ILO, the International Organisation of Employers (IOE), the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and Business at OECD established GAN Global.
Initially tasked with creating a business-led network promoting apprenticeships to get young people into the workforce and equip them with the skills needed to succeed, GAN’s mandate has since expanded. Today, GAN Global encompasses all forms of WBL to reflect the evolving world of work. This approach acknowledges that it is not just young people who need to develop skills but also workers of all ages who require flexible and lifelong training opportunities and businesses looking for skilled labor.
