Why the OECD’s Work on Health Matters
The OECD’s work on health provides governments with policy advice to address urgent health challenges and improve performance, quality, sustainability and long-term resilience of their health systems. By providing data, analysis and recommendations, the OECD measures health outcomes and use of resources as well as supports decision making that enhances population health, promotes equity in access to care, helps design policies for efficient adoption of digitalisation in health systems and addresses challenges like ageing populations, rising costs and health inequalities.
Our 2025 Priorities
How Business Engages with the OECD on Health
Business at OECD’s Health Committee represents various industries including biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, information systems, food and beverages, sports, and healthcare providers. It actively contributes to the OECD’s health agenda by providing expertise and participating in expert and official committee meetings. Business at OECD’s Health Committee holds bi-annual meetings, and hosts an annual Business at OECD Health Forum, in the context of Business at OECD’s on-going proactive Stronger Together campaign, bringing private sector case studies and solutions to tackle most pressing health challenges in the OECD’s member countries and beyond.
